“The scariest moment is
just before you start.”

— Stephen King

Transitioning from school to university is a critical phase in a young person’s life. Amidst academic pressure and ever-evolving social dynamics, students often overlook the importance of intentional self-discovery and planning.

From Hardship to Heartship fills this gap by combining introspection with practical tools, enabling students to embrace their university journey with purpose and resilience.

From Hardship to Heartship is a two-day interactive workshop designed to guide university freshers through a journey of self-reflection and intentional life-design. Rooted in the principles of design thinking, this workshop provides students with the tools to chart their university experience thoughtfully and meaningfully, ensuring a strong foundation for both academic and personal growth.

Why life design?

The workshop aims to:

  1. Create a safe and reflective space for students to explore their aspirations, values, and goals

  2. Equip participants with design thinking tools to plan their university journey and beyond

  3. Cultivate a sense of community and shared understanding among freshers by encouraging open dialogue and peer learning

  4. Address the often-overlooked emotional and mental transitions from school to college life

  5. Integrate a sense of contribution towards the most pressing global challenges related to ecology, sustainability, and social change.

Who will benefit?

This workshop is designed for first-year university students, with a focus on creating a supportive environment as they transition into higher education.
